# Hyperball — source credits and use boundary This independent prototype is a **private, local, noncommercial frontend demo**. No deployment, smart contracts, minting, token sales, advertising, purchases, or commercial exploitation are included or authorized by this preparation. ## Dungeon permanent item artwork The three item PNGs in `assets/dungeon-items/` reproduce the exact 12×12 Mint, Ability Capsule and Hidden Ability Capsule pixel rows/palettes from the current public PokéSurvivor item renderer. `SOURCE.json` records the public bundle URL/hash, original icon IDs, rows, colors and generated PNG hashes. No current source gameplay module is imported. Hyperball uses these as presentation for existing permanent Attack/Defense/Magic drops; it does not implement or claim the original nature/ability effects. Existing drops and NFT progression are not migrated or reset. Availability of this artwork is not a grant of commercial/NFT rights; the upstream-source and rights boundaries below still apply. ## Original project and exact local source - Original public project: https://pokesurvivor.com/ - Upstream source: https://github.com/JPTER78/pokesurvivor - Original author attribution: Copyright (c) 2026 JPTER78. - Copied from the local PokeSurvivor snapshot, commit `1a6bcc9a90639f779274ea0c8ecf1f19223a780f` (October 12, 2026). - The eight modules in `source/` are unmodified, byte-identical copies. Source/copy SHA-256 pairs, sheet inventories, and Git metadata are recorded in `provenance/SOURCE-MANIFEST.json`. - The original local license and full artist credits are preserved without modification in `provenance/LICENSE` and `provenance/CREDITS.md`. ## Code license: local snapshot versus current public source The source-specific local `LICENSE` states MIT for its code. Preserve its copyright and license notice when using that copied code. This does **not** mean every later public revision is MIT. The public upstream license inspected during preparation distinguishes code through commit `b297089` (October 14, 2026), retained under MIT, from later publications under **PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0**. Public reference: https://github.com/JPTER78/pokesurvivor/blob/main/LICENSE and https://github.com/JPTER78/pokesurvivor/blob/main/LICENSE-NONCOMMERCIAL.md. The copied local license is preserved as evidence; this demo makes no blanket claim about rights to newer upstream code. ## Sprites and third-party artwork Pokemon sprite sheets originate from **SpriteCollab / PMDCollab**: https://github.com/PMDCollab/SpriteCollab. The source project attributes them under **Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0)**: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/. Preserve attribution and the full artist-by-species table in `provenance/CREDITS.md`. Normal and shiny Idle/Walk sheets are copied only where actual files exist. Code licensing does not extend to these assets or grant additional underlying character rights. ## Fonts and data - Pixelify Sans fonts retain the **SIL Open Font License 1.1**, copied with the complete font directory at `assets/fonts/`, including `assets/fonts/OFL.txt`. - Pokedex data is attributed by the source to **PokeAPI**: https://pokeapi.co/. - The favicon source at `assets/icons/icon-32.png` is copied unchanged from the local source, not claimed as original artwork by this prototype. ## Emerald introduction loader - Video and Pokémon Solid font are copied unchanged from the sibling local GATCHACARDS project. The source project is not modified. - Scene: christt105, https://github.com/christt105/PokemonEmeraldIntroVideo, commit `870520f6161ee521835d2a1bb6b4d037d61c5278`. - Original Emerald graphics belong to Nintendo / Game Freak, via pret/pokeemerald. Original video provenance is retained at `assets/loader/SOURCE.txt`. - The source video repository has no explicit license recorded in that provenance. Keep the integration local/private pending rights review. The font is not covered by the Pixelify Sans OFL notice; its copied availability is not a commercial-use clearance. - The introduction retains on-screen scene attribution. Adaptations are limited to Hyperball product text, entry wiring and scoped integration styles. ## Pokemon intellectual property and limits Pokemon and related characters, names, and marks belong to **Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK, and The Pokemon Company**, as applicable. This fan prototype is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or approved by those owners or the original game author. **No NFT, tokenization, blockchain, or commercial permission is inferred** from public availability, the local MIT code notice, or the asset credits. Licenses for code, sprites, fonts, and underlying intellectual property remain separate. Any broader use would require independent rights review and appropriate permission. This credits file records provenance, not a legal clearance or ownership claim.
